What is the Stayner Chamber of Commerce?
The Chamber is a not for profit volunteer association of businesses, business people and other like minded individuals and organizations.
What does the Chamber do?
The primary objective of the Chamber is to promote the business community of Stayner to the residents of our community and to those who may travel through it. We concern ourselves with the interests of the business community and voice those concerns to the various levels of government as required. We use the collective value of our membership to obtain benefits for our members that they would not be able to obtain individually.
Why is the Chamber important?
The Chamber is a vital part of any community. The value of an association of the business community is immeasurable. We provide a strong, legitimate voice at the council table, we provide the experience of many, many businesses that may assist other businesses with concerns and friendly help. The success of the community as a whole is paramount to our individual success, therefore we give back to our community through civic improvement, festivals, sponsorships and free community functions.
What is expected of the individual members?
The Chamber expects nothing. We hope our individual members realize the value of their association and wish to become involved with one of the various committees. that may be of interest to them. We hope they will make the time to attend some of the social meetings, they will proudly display the membership decal and will assist in the fundraising endeavours. We trust they will renew their memberships each year in a prompt manner and will acknowledge the value of their association and promote the association to others who may not be a member, encouraging them to join us.
